Well, after the past half year, RuneScape's market has gone absolutely INSANE!
Prices have shot right through the roof, reaching amazing amounts of money. Honestly, I never thought this would happen, but it obviously has.
For instance, take a look at Partyhats. Some of you might remember when the Christmas event in 2001 came out, when Partyhats were just dropped on the ground. People thought they were useless, as they sold for 5-20GP each. Luckily enough, some people kept their partyhats, and now are millionaires!
At Christmas, 2009, many Partyhats shot up to over 1,000,000,000 GP (1Billion Gold Coins), and then they flew riiiiiiiiiiiiight down! - Now, they are shooting right back up again!

After 30 days, this item has increased - +5.3%
After 90 days, this item has increased - +18.9%
After 180 days, this item has increased - +56.3%

Well as you can see, it's quite interesting how much these items are going up, as they are the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh highest priced item in RuneScape.
